8     If you have your first mortgage with Miami Savings Bank,  you may be eligible for a home equity line up to 89% of the appraised value of your  home less any outstanding mortgages and you may be eligible for a rate below Prime! At Miami Savings Bank we want to reward customer loyalty and we appreciate your  business.

8    Using your Home Equity Plus account is as easy as writing a check. You'll be given eight checks to start out with, if you need more just let us know. Each month you will receive a statement detailing your activity and the minimum payment due. Monthly payments are interest only payments based on your outstanding balance. Additionally, interest paid on a home equity loan is tax deductible in most cases, see your tax professional for details. Minimum check amount is $500.

8     Home Equity Plus loan funds may be used for anything - purchase a car, make home improvements, consolidate bills. Simply write a Home Equity Plus check for the purchase or payment and the amount will be added to your loan.

NOTICE OF CHANGES IN TEMPORARY FDIC INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS

All funds in a “noninterest-bearing transaction account” are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010, through December 31, 2012.  This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.

The term “noninterest-bearing transaction account” includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest.  It also includes Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (“IOLTAs”).  It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts, and money market deposit accounts.
